An evening of Kirtan with John and Danielle
Monday, July 27, 7 PM, By Donation

John and Danielle sing ancient Indian chants in Sanskrit in a style of chanting called Kirtan. These chants can take us to places of great stillness and great joy.
Their gatherings are about opening hearts through the power of sound and song. Yet, John says, 'There's only one mistake you can make when you sing Kirtan, and that's to not have fun. Just sing!' For more information about Kirtans with John and Danielle, please go to

John Conley is the author of Letters to My Friends: “A No Guarantees Guide to Awakening.” His Kirtan CD, “Bow to the Inner Heart,” has been well received. One listener said, “I love it. Your chants are beautiful and easy to follow. Finally I understand the joy of Kirtan!”
Danielle Koppel trained at the Winston Salem School of the Arts in Opera. She frequently sings responses for the well known Kirtan singer, Dave Stringer. Danielle is also an internationally known model. Her discussion of healthy body images and eating disorders, entitled 'Beauty Knows No Pain,' has been well received throughout the county, particularly at colleges.
